The Beauty Vault is a popular Chicago-based Black owned beauty supply store specialising in selling hair extensions, makeup, custom merch and beauty supply tools for all Black and ethnic women.

 

Kaijah, the owner, came to us because she was in the process of opening her second physical store in Houston, Texas. Whilst this was very exciting for her, she still needed a professionally designed website to encourage more online shopping, and show her audience why she was reliable to buy from, in comparison to the other high street beauty supply stores.

 

My mission with the website was to show the reliability and approachability of this business. Kaiiajh had told me that her and her team were experts on all of her products in store. They had tested, used and approved every product in store, meaning they could easily recommend the best products for their audiences needs. This helped positioned Kaijah as a reliable and trustworthy beauty supply store owner, which needed to translate on her website. It was important her website reflected professionalism, expertise and ongoing trust for the business 

 

By redesigning her Shopify website, we were able to achieve a on-brand look to match the cute and girly aesthetic of her physical store; but also achieve a professional and customer friendly website, which customers could easily browse and access the hair, makeup or beauty products they needed instantly.
