Brand Identity and Shopify Website design for a raw hair extensions business
Desire Extensions is a women owned hair extensions business, selling 100% raw Vietnamese and virgin hair, as well as offering hair install services and custom wig orders.
Originally, Taporscha, the owner, reached out to me just wanting a website to sell her bundles. However, after speaking with her and learning about the amazing vibe she brings to her studio, and how long-lasting her raw bundles were, it was clear that this was not your typical hair extension brand — and needed more than a website. As the face of her brand, she needed a bespoke brand identity to reflect the maturity and premium feel of her business as her old logo was childish and looked too girly.
Taporscha agreed, and was happy to upgrade her branding too. For the brand identity, it was important her brand reflected elegance, and courageousness as her speciality was custom, highlighted, ready to wear wigs. With this information I was proud to have created a unique brand design that spoke directly to young women who enjoyed the luxury of getting their hair done biweekly; and would feel confident buying hair extensions from Desire Extensions.
Now that we had a solid brand identity it was time to implement this onto her Shopify website. She had previously DIYed her website, so although she had beautiful model photos, the site needed a mature look, matched with website copy explaining the brands mission of selling quality hair for women who enjoy luxury hair services. This was how we developed a Shopify website that balanced the aesthetic of her brand, with the functionality of an easy customer shopping experience.
